A guy named sir_brilliant posted a very long story in the HBO fanfic section. It's quite literally a book, but it's also very good. Worth saving as a file and reading in chunks when you have time. Check out the comment thread too.

Hey, glad to know you liked it. I'm actually working to try to get it published as an official fanfic, but i don't know how its going. The publishing company that we sent it to to be looked over, TOR, said they liked it and went to talk with microsoft about it, but its going to be 9 weeks tomorrow since i've heard anything. Anyways, glad to hear that someone did enjoy it.
